Meet the Artist
Shanitra Dunn Washington has been creating for as long as she can remember. She grew up in a small town with lots of love and charm in Eureka, North Carolina. She’s a country girl at heart and currently resides in Greensboro, North Carolina. She studied business studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is very passionate about her art and her businesses. In addition to painting, she also does watercolor and marker illustrations for her Black Chic Shop greeting card line. She has a candle and wax melt business with her husband, Kendale affectionately called More Amour Luxury Candle Co. She is also a real estate agent! Assisting buyers and sellers to get to the closing table. She’s definitely a Jill of all trades and a master of many! Her main intent is to use her gifts to inspire and motivate others. Helping others to realize their dreams when she can. She believes that greatness resides within us all, we only need to tap into it.
